What we do

A garden built around your space — not a template.

Every yard is different. We handle the whole journey, from the first look at your lawn to the first harvest, and stay on for as long as you'd like the help.

Yard assessment

We walk your space to read the sun, soil, drainage, and access — then tell you honestly what will thrive and where.

Garden design

A plan tailored to your yard's footprint and your goals, whether that's salad greens by the door or a full kitchen garden.

Build & planting

We build the beds, amend the soil, and get everything in the ground — raised beds, borders, containers, and pathways.

Seasonal care

Optional visits through the year to prune, replant, and keep your garden producing from spring through winter.

How it works

From lawn to larder in four steps.

You don't need experience, tools, or a green thumb. You just need a bit of yard. We take care of the rest.

  1. 01

    We visit your yard

A free, no-pressure walkthrough. We measure the space, check the light and soil, and talk about what you'd love to grow.

  2. 02

    We design the plan

You get a clear layout and plant list scaled to your yard and budget — bed placement, crops, and a season-by-season schedule.

  3. 03

    We build & plant it

We construct the beds, prepare the soil, and plant everything, leaving you with a garden that's ready to grow.

  4. 04

    You harvest (we help)

Grow on your own or keep us on for seasonal tune-ups. Either way, the yard finally earns its keep.

The neighborhood share

Keep what you want. Donate the rest.

Think of it as a CSA that starts in your own backyard. When our seasonal care keeps your beds producing, the extra harvest becomes a community-supported share — so a single street of yards can feed far more than the households that tend them.

Keep what you want
Your beds, your harvest. Pick the tomatoes, greens, and herbs your household actually eats — we help you plan the plot so it matches your table, not a spreadsheet.
Donate the rest
A productive yard almost always grows more than one home can eat. The surplus doesn't rot on the vine — we route it into the neighborhood share instead.
Feed the block
Extra produce is pooled with other yards on your street and distributed as weekly shares to neighbors, nearby families, and a local food pantry.
Join the neighborhood share
Neighbors gathered around crates of freshly harvested vegetables, passing a box of produce to share

One street, one harvest

Surplus from tended yards becomes weekly shares for the block.

Our roots

We believe every yard can feed the people who live around it.

Black Palms Farm started with a simple idea: most homes already have the space for a garden — it's just hidden under lawn, behind the garage, or waiting on a sunny patio.

We're gardeners, builders, and growers who partner with households to unlock that space. No garden is too small, and no yard-haver is too new to start. We meet you where your yard is.

  • Organic, soil-first methods
  • Edible & ornamental plants
  • Built for low-effort upkeep
  • Local, seasonal plant choices
